In Maryland, A Blowout Becomes A Nail-Biter

It is harsh enough that the double-digit popularity poll leads
of Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend`s campaign for governor of
Maryland evaporated over the summer. No less biting to her is the
cool pronouncement lately by Representative Robert L. Ehrlich Jr.,
who was initially viewed as her little-known, long-shot Republican
challenger, that "the Kennedy legacy is dead."
