Monday, March 20, 2006

(Fairfax, VA) -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse incumbent Congressman Don Sherwood in Pennsylvania's District 10.

Chris Cox, NRA's chief lobbyist, stated, "Representative Don Sherwood has a legacy of fighting for and protecting the Second Amendment for all law-abiding Pennsylvanian. He has earned the NRA's endorsement and trust of Pennsylvania's District 10 gun owners."

U.S. Representative Don Sherwood earned an "A" rating from the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund. Sherwood received the NRA-PVF superior rating because throughout his tenure as Congressman, he supported NRA positions on key votes.

Congressman Sherwood was a co-sponsor of the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which President Bush signed into law last fall. In addition, he is a co-sponsor of the NRA-supported bill to repeal the decades-old gun ban in Washington, D.C.

"It's up to gun owners to vote for freedom on May 16," Cox continued, "Pennsylvania's hunters and gun owners value their right to own firearms, and Don Sherwood is the very best candidate to serve them."

Chris Cox additionally serves as Executive Director and Chairman of NRA - PVF.
