Monday, November 26, 2007
FAIRFAX, VA-The National Rifle Association Political Victory
Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Dr. Mark Shelton in the special
election runoff for Texas State Representative in District 97.
Voters will go to the polls on December 18 to determine who
replaces retiring State Rep. Anna Mowery.
"Mark Shelton is the right choice in this runoff election,"
Chris W. Cox stated. "He is a champion for gun owners and a strong
supporter of the Second Amendment. Because of this he has earned an
'A' rating from NRA-PVF."
Cox continued, "We've seen major pro-gun legislation, such as
Emergency Powers protections and the Castle Doctrine, become law in
Texas. To successfully continue these positive movements,
gun-owners and NRA members must continue to vote for candidates who
support our Second Amendment at all levels of local, state and
federal government."
Chris W. Cox serves as Executive Director and Chairman of
NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is
responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on
candidate voting records, public statements and responses to
NRA-PVF questionnaires.
