NRA-PVF Endorses State Sen. Bill Raggio for Re-election in NV Senate Dist. 3 Consistent NRA-PVF "A+" Rated Legislator Since 1973

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Fairfax, VA - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) announces its endorsement of State Senator Bill Raggio for re-election in Nevada Senate District 3 on November 4, 2008.

"As the longest serving state senator in Nevada history, Senate Majority Leader Bill Raggio has demonstrated a strong commitment to the Second Amendment and our country's rich hunting heritage," said Chris W. Cox, NRA chief lobbyist. "Because of his unwavering pro-gun support, Bill Raggio has earned an 'A+' rating and an endorsement from NRA-PVF."

Senator Raggio was instrumental in steering critical issues through the Legislature, including the 1989 Firearms Preemption Act. He has been influential in every right-to-carry reform bill in Nevada, including shall-issue permits for residents; carry permits for non-residents; and out-of-state permit recognition for Nevadans. Senator Raggio was also key in the passage of Emergency Powers legislation in 2007.

"Sportsmen and gun owners in Nevada trust Sen. Raggio, and they know he will support and defend their Second Amendment rights," Cox continued. "We urge all NRA members and gun owners in Nevada Senate District 3 to vote for Bill Raggio in November ."
