NRA-PVF Endorses Bob Damron for Re-Election to Kentucky House District 39

Thursday, October 16, 2008

FAIRFAX, VA-The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Representative Bob Damron for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives in the 39th Legislative District on November 4.

"Rep. Damron is a strong advocate for freedom and for defending the rights of Kentucky's gun owners, hunters and sportsmen," said Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA-PVF. "Damron has worked to preserve the self-defense rights of law-abiding residents and also to safeguard our great hunting tradition for future generations."

Rep. Bob Damron sponsored legislation that would have required universities, colleges and postsecondary institutions to comply with current law allowing law-abiding citizens to keep firearms in their locked vehicles on university property. He also sponsored the "Gun Owner Protection Act," a comprehensive firearm reform bill that included provisions for Emergency Powers, Workplace Protection and confidentiality for concealed handgun permitees.

Because of his steadfast support for the Second Amendment, Bob Damron has earned an 'A+' rating from NRA-PVF.

"This November 4th, I urge all NRA members and Kentucky gun owners in Legislative District 39 to vote for Bob Damron," Cox concluded. "The people of Kentucky value their freedom, and Bob Damron is the best candidate to serve them."
