Fairfax, VA-The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing House Majority Leader Bill DeWeese for re-election in Pennsylvania's 50th legislative district.
"Throughout his long tenure of service as a public policy maker and legislative leader, House Majority Leader Bill DeWeese has proven his strong commitment to protecting the Second Amendment for Pennsylvania gun owners and hunters," said Chris W. Cox, Chairman of NRA-PVF.
Rep. DeWeese has a perfect voting record on critical NRA issues. The majority leader's unwavering support for the Second Amendment for more than 30 years has earned him the prestigious NRA "Defender of Freedom" award. NRA-PVF is pleased to give Bill DeWeese an "A+", the highest rating a candidate can receive.
By contrast, his "F" rated opponent supports banning firearms, as well as registration and licensing requirements for law-abiding gun owners, prohibiting firearm carry in Pennsylvania state parks and shutting down gun shows.
"This year, the choice is clear. Bill DeWeese's stalwart voting record to protect gun owners' rights throughout Pennsylvania proves he understands and appreciates the Second Amendment," continued Cox. "I urge gun owners, hunters and sportsmen in Pennsylvania's 50th district to re-elect Rep. DeWeese. The people of Pennsylvania value their freedom, and Bill DeWeese is the best candidate to serve them."
