Wednesday, September 22, 2010
Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory
Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Alaska Governor Sean Parnell for
re-election in the state's November 2nd general election.
Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF stated, "The National Rifle
Association Political Victory Fund is endorsing Governor Parnell
because of his unequivocal support for the Second Amendment
freedoms of law-abiding Alaska gun owners. Sean Parnell has earned
the support of the NRA-PVF. Our members in Alaska know they can
trust him to protect their gun rights."
As governor, Parnell signed into law important legislation to
protect the rights of Alaska gun owners, including: a bill to
require the notifying of permit holders when their permits are
about to expire and allowing permit holders to retain their permits
if they move out of state; as well as legislation to clarify that
individuals who have been released from state supervision and who
have had their rights restored under existing Alaska law have full
restoration of their Second Amendment rights.
Parnell has earned an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF
for his strong commitment to protecting our Second Amendment rights
as Governor of Alaska and during his service in the Alaska
Legislature.
"On November 2nd, I urge all Alaska NRA members and gun owners to
vote for the candidate with a proven track record who will stand up
for their gun rights -- Sean Parnell," Cox concluded.
