Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Brenna Findley in Iowa's Attorney General race on November 2.

"Brenna Findley's commitment to preserving our Second Amendment freedoms has earned her the NRA-PVF endorsement," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "Gun owners and hunters in Iowa can trust Brenna Findley to fight for their Second Amendment rights."

Findley supports national right-to-carry reciprocity and efforts to reform the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. She also opposes reenacting the Clinton gun and magazine ban and believes sportsmen should have access to federally owned or administered lands for hunting, fishing, trapping and recreational shooting.

In contrast, Findley's opponent, Attorney General Tom Miller, has earned an "F" rating from the NRA-PVF for refusing to stand with an overwhelming majority of state attorneys general who signed pro-Second Amendment "friend of the court" briefs in the landmark Supreme Court cases of Heller and McDonald.  Additionally, Miller's office issued interpretations of Iowa's firearms preemption statute and right-to-carry law that took an extremely narrow view of the rights of Iowa gun owners.

"Brenna Findley's support for individual gun ownership rights has earned her an "AQ" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF," Cox continued. "We ask all Iowa gun owners, hunters and NRA members to vote for Brenna Findley for Attorney General on November 2.

Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
