NRA-PVF Endorses Charlie Dent for U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District

Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association
Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Charlie Dent for
re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania's
15th Congressional District this November.
"The NRA-PVF is endorsing Charlie Dent because
he is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of
law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen in Pennsylvania and
across America," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of
NRA-PVF.
Charlie Dent voted to repeal the D.C. gun
ban/registration statute and restore the right of self-defense to
law-abiding residents of our nation's capital. He also cosponsored
the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity bill, which would extend
federal protection of state right-to-carry licenses and permits
across the country, and legislation to force much-needed reform of
the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives.
Dent signed the pro-gun congressional amicus
brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in support of our individual right
to keep and bear arms in the historic Heller case. He also
signed the congressional amicus brief stating that the Second
Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that applies to all
Americans, no matter where they live, in the McDonald
case.
"Charlie Dent is a strong voice in fighting
ongoing efforts by anti-gun politicians to dismantle the Second
Amendment," Cox concluded. "We ask all Pennsylvania gun owners and
hunters in Pennsylvania's 15th District to vote Charlie
Dent for Congress on November 2nd."
Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also
serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association
Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate
rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public
statements and responses to NRA-PVF
questionnaires.
