Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory
Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Glenn Thompson for re-election to the
U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania's 5th
Congressional District.
Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF stated, "The NRA-PVF is
proud to support Glenn Thompson because of his outstanding record
as an unequivocal defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of
law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen in Pennsylvania and
across the United States."
As a member of Congress, Glenn Thompson has
demonstrated his commitment to our Second Amendment
rights. Thompson cosponsored concealed carry reciprocity
legislation which would provide a national standard for carrying
concealed firearms, in addition to cosponsoring legislation that
would reform the of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms and Explosives (BATFE). Most recently, Thompson signed the
pro-gun congressional amicus brief arguing that the Second
Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all
Americans in the McDonald case.
Based on his solid pro-gun voting record and his leadership on
firearms issues in the House, Glenn Thompson has earned an "A"
rating and the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.
"On November 2nd, I urge all Pennsylvania NRA Members and gun
owners in the 5th District to vote Glen Thompson for
Congress," Cox concluded.
