NRA-PVF Endorses Jeff Perry for Congress in Massachusetts' 10th Congressional District Republican Primary Election
Thursday, September 02, 2010
Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association Political Victory
Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Massachusetts State Representative Jeff
Perry (R-Sandwich) for election to the U.S. House of
Representatives in the September 14 Republican Primary.
"Jeff Perry's strong commitment to preserving our hunting and
shooting heritage has earned him the NRA-PVF's endorsement," said
Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "Jeff was a proven leader on gun
owners' and sportsmen's rights in the Massachusetts House of
Representatives and I know he will continue to fight for and
protect the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding gun owners
at the federal level."
Perry has demonstrated a proven commitment to our Second
Amendment rights and hunting heritage. He co-sponsored the Mass
Firearm Regulation Reform Legislation to eliminate the
Commonwealth's current draconian firearms regulations and supported
Senate Bill 2367, the most important set of firearm law reforms
since the passage of Massachusetts' worst in the nation gun laws.
In addition, he supported the Precision Sports Legislative Reform
Bill, which would protect the rights of target shooters in
Massachusetts, and voted for a bill to reduce firearm license
fees.
Perry's steadfast support for individual gun ownership rights
earned him an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.
"Gun owners in Massachusetts value their Second Amendment
freedoms, and Jeff Perry is the clear choice to represent them,"
Cox concluded. "We ask all gun-owners, hunters and NRA members in
Massachusetts' Tenth Congressional District to vote Jeff Perry for
Congress on September 14."
Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman
of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund
