NRA-PVF Endorses Johnny Isakson for U.S. Senate
Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Fairfax, Va. - Today the National Rifle Association Political
Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of Johnny
Isakson for election to the U.S. Senate this November.
"The NRA-PVF is endorsing Johnny Isakson because he is a staunch
defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding gun
owners, hunters and sportsmen," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of
NRA-PVF. "His solid and consistent pro-gun support has earned
him an 'A' rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF."
As a United States Senator, Isakson has demonstrated a
consistent commitment to Second Amendment rights by voting for
legislation that prevents bogus lawsuits against gun manufacturers
and prohibits gun confiscation during states of emergency. He
voted to restore self-defense rights in our nation's capital, as
well as signing the pro-gun congressional amicus brief to the
Supreme Court supporting the individual right to keep and bear arms
in the Heller case. Isakson also signed the pro-gun
congressional amicus brief arguing that the Second Amendment
guarantees a fundamental right that protects all Americans in the
McDonald case. Additionally, he voted against confirmation
of anti-gun Supreme Court Justice nominees Elena Kagan and Sonia
Sotomayor.
"On November 2nd, I urge all Georgia NRA members, hunters and
gun owners to vote Johnny Isakson for U.S. Senate," Cox
concluded.
