NRA-PVF Endorses State Representative Bob Bischoff for Re-Election in Indiana’s 68th House District
Wednesday, September 29, 2010
Fairfax, Va.-The National Rifle Association Political Victory
Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Rep. Bob Bischoff (D-68) for
re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives this
November.
Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF stated, "The NRA-PVF is
endorsing Bob Bischoff because of his strong support for the Second
Amendment freedoms of law-abiding Indiana gun owners. As author of
Indiana's new Emergency Powers and Parking Lot laws, our members in
the Hoosier State know they can trust him to protect their
rights."
Throughout his tenure in the Indiana House of Representatives,
Bob Bischoff has consistently supported the right to keep and bear
arms, including: protecting gun owners from being held liable if
their firearms are stolen and later used in a crime; establishing
Indiana's Lifetime Concealed Firearm Permit - the first of its kind
in the United States; signed a pro-gun "friend of the court" brief
in McDonald v. Chicago, supporting the position that the
Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all
Americans; and authoring Indiana's new Emergency Powers and Parking
Lot laws, protecting Hoosiers against firearm confiscations during
states of emergency and wrongful termination by employers for
locking their firearms in their personal vehicles while at
work.
"On November 2, I urge all Indiana NRA members and gun owners in
the 68th House District to vote for Bob Bischoff," Cox
concluded.
