NRA-PVF Endorses State Representative Randy Truitt for Re-Election in Indiana’s 26th House District
Monday, September 27, 2010
Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory
Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing State Representative Randy Truitt
(R-26) for re-election this November.
"Randy Truitt's support for preserving our Second Amendment
freedoms has earned him the NRA-PVF endorsement," said Chris W.
Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "Indiana gun owners and hunters
appreciate his commitment to protecting their right to keep
and bear arms.
During his tenure in the Indiana House of Representatives, Randy
Truitt has consistently supported Second Amendment rights,
including: joining a pro-gun "friend of the court" brief in
McDonald v. Chicago, supporting the position that the
Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all
Americans; voting to protect the privacy of concealed firearm
permit holders; preventing local municipalities from banning
or confiscating firearms during a state of emergency; and
prohibiting employers from firing employees who lock their firearm
in their personal vehicles while at work.
Representative Truitt's commitment to preserving our Second
Amendment rights and hunting heritage has earned him an A- rating
and the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.
"Hoosiers value their Second Amendment freedoms, and Randy
Truitt is the clear choice to represent them," Cox concluded. "We
ask all Indiana gun-owners and hunters in the 26th House
District to re-elect Representative Randy Truitt on November
2."
