Fairfax, Va.-- The National Rifle Association Political Victory
Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Krayton Kerns for re-election to the
State House of Representatives in Montana's 58th House District
this November.
Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF said, "The National Rifle
Association Political Victory Fund endorsed Krayton Kerns because
he is a defender of the Second Amendment and an advocate for the
self-defense rights of law-abiding gun owners in Montana."
During his service in the State House of Representatives and as
a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Representative Kerns
supported many pro-gun measures. He was the primary sponsor of
House Bill 228, last session's landmark self defense bill, and he
co-sponsored the resolution supporting the possession of firearms
for self-defense in national parks. Kerns is also a supporter of
hunting and sportsmen's issues.
Rep. Kerns' pro-gun record in the Montana State House of
Representatives has earned him an "A+" rating. He is an NRA Life
Member and was recently chosen as a recipient of NRA's Defender of
Freedom award. This honor is bestowed on elected officials who are
among the strongest defenders of the freedoms of law-abiding gun
owners, hunters and sportsmen. The award will be formally presented
to Kerns in January in Helena.
"We ask all NRA Members and gun owners in Montana's 58th State
House District to vote Krayton Kerns for State Representative on
November 2," Cox concluded.
Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman
of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund
is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on
candidate voting records, public statements and responses to
NRA-PVF questionnaires.
