NRA-PVF Endorses Richard Dodge for Re-Election in Indiana's 51st House District Representative Dodge Receives NRA-PVF's Highest "A+" Grade

Monday, April 26, 2010

Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is pleased to endorse State Representative Richard Dodge (R-51) for re-election in Indiana's Republican Primary on May 4th.

"Representative Dick Dodge is the gun owners' choice for Indiana's 51st House District," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "Rep. Dodge is a solid defender of the Second Amendment and will stand up for the rights of gun owners and all freedom-loving Hoosiers."

Throughout his tenure in the Indiana State House, Dick Dodge has proven his steadfast commitment to the Second Amendment, in Indiana and around the country. In 2009, Rep. Dodge participated in two pro-gun amicus briefs supporting the McDonald v. Chicago lawsuit to overturn Chicago's gun ban before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Most recently, Rep. Dodge supported legislation to close access to Indiana's concealed carry permit database; prevent local governments from confiscating firearms from law-abiding citizens during states of emergency; and enact parking lot protections for gun-owning Hoosier employees.

Rep. Dodge's steadfast support for individual gun ownership rights earned him an "A+" rating and endorsement by NRA-PVF.

"On May 4th, the choice is clear for NRA members and gun owners in Indiana's 51st House District," concluded Cox. "Hoosiers value their firearms freedom, and Dick Dodge is the best person to serve them."
