Candidate for the Virginia U.S. House District 10
NRA Endorsed with NRA-PVF Rating: A

MORE ABOUT THIS ELECTION

For the following reasons, Barbara Comstock has earned our endorsement and an "A" rating from NRA-PVF:

  • Supports Sunday Hunting - Cosponsored and voted for a law that ensures private landowners, as well as family members and friends, can hunt on private property on Sundays; the law also allows Sunday waterfowl hunting on public waters.
  • Supports Concealed Carry Reciprocity - Voted for a bill that would have eliminated burdensome procedural hurdles for an out-of-state concealed handgun permit to be recognized in Virginia. In addition, Barbara supports national concealed carry reciprocity, which would enable law-abiding Americans to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.
  • Opposes Gun Confiscation - Voted for a law that protects and strengthens your right to self-defense during a declared state of emergency.
  • Opposes Washington D.C.'s Gun Ban - Supports legislation to repeal the D.C. gun ban/registration statute and restore the right of self-defense to law-abiding residents of our nation’s capital.
  • Supports Right to Carry - Voted for a law that allows permit holders to carry a firearm for self-defense in restaurants.
  • Opposes Gun Rationing - Voted for a law that abolished Virginia's gun-rationing scheme that prohibited the purchase of more than one handgun in a thirty-day period.
  • Supports Workplace Protection - Voted for a law that prevents localities from passing laws prohibiting employees from storing lawfully possessed firearms and ammunition in a locked vehicle.
  • Opposes a Firearm Registry - Opposes legislation that would allow Federal government agencies to create firearm registries.
  • Opposes "Universal" Background Checks - Opposes the Obama-Bloomberg so-called "universal" background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of a firearm between life-long friends and many family members.
  • Opposes a Semi-Auto Ban - Opposes any ban on commonly owned semi-automatic firearms used for hunting, recreational shooting, and self-defense.

Please remember to vote Barbara Comstock for U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia's 10th Congressional District on Tuesday, November 4th, and please encourage all of your family, friends, and fellow hunters and shooters to do the same!

P.S. Please don’t forget to vote Ed Gillespie for U.S. Senate!
