Your Freedom Is Under Attack in New Mexico! Vote On or Before November 6!

Dear New Mexico NRA Member:

Early in-person voting at expanded locations begins this Saturday, October 20.  New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg has targeted pro-Second Amendment candidates for defeat in New Mexico, hoping to push his radical gun control agenda forward in the Roundhouse in Santa Fe and the U.S. Congress.

Be sure you know where the candidates stand on issues of importance to gun owners and sportsmen before you vote.  Check out NRA-PVF's ratings and endorsements at www.nrapvf.org or review the NRA-PVF Political Preference Chart in your NRA member magazine.  Make sure you support the NRA-PVF endorsed candidates for federal and statewide offices, as well as state legislative seats.  The future of your right to keep and bear arms is at stake!

Here are just a few of the key races you need to pay attention to:

Congressional District 2:  NRA-PVF has endorsed Yvette Herrell (R) in New Mexico's 2nd Congressional District.  She has a proven record of support for our Second Amendment rights from her tenure in the State House.  Her opponentXochitl Torres Small, is falsely claiming to support New Mexico's hunting heritage and your gun rights.  The truth is she supports the Schumer/Pelosi/Bloomberg "universal" background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of firearms which, according to the Obama Justice Department, is only enforceable through federal firearms registration.  In addition, she refused to answer some of the most basic questions regarding the Second Amendment and our fundamental right to self-defense.

Governor:  NRA-PVF has endorsed Steve Pearce (R) in the contest for Governor.  He has repeatedly stood up to Bloomberg's extremist agenda in Congress and has stood by your right to self-defense by supporting legislation such as national right to carry reciprocity.  In stark contrast, his opponent, Michelle Lujan Grisham (D), would be the most anti-gun governor in the history of New Mexico if elected.  In addition to supporting universal background checks, she has also publicly backed bans on commonly owned firearms used for self-defense, competitive shooting and hunting, as well as limits on standard capacity magazines.  Her far-reaching agenda could also include potential confiscation of firearms without due process and possible restrictions on how you store firearms in your own home.

Land Commissioner:  NRA-PVF has endorsed Pat Lyons (R) for Commissioner of Public Lands.  This office has a direct hand in issues affecting access to state land by sportsmen.  Pat was a leading supporter of right to carry legislation when he served in the New Mexico Senate.  His opponent Stephanie Garcia Richard (D) was a leading advocate for gun control when she served in the New Mexico House, sponsoring Bloomberg-backed legislation that would have banned the private transfer or loan of firearms between law-abiding citizens.

Make no mistake, your freedom is at risk this election cycle.  Be sure to vote and spread the word to family, friends and fellow gun owners about which candidates support your Second Amendment rights.  For more information about early voting locations, contact your county clerk's office.

Thank you!
