The NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Bob Goodlatte for U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia’s 6^th Congressional District. Bob has a proven pro-Second Amendment record and is committed to protecting your right to self-defense!

• Supports Right-to-Carry: As Chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary, Bob leads the fight for Right-to-Carry reciprocity legislation, which would ensure that law-abiding Americans with valid concealed handgun permits would be able to carry a concealed handgun in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.
• Opposes Gun Control: Strongly opposes the Obama/Bloomberg/Clinton agenda of banning guns, ammunition, magazines, and creating a so-called “universal” background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of firearms which, according to the Justice Department, is only enforceable through federal gun registration.
• Opposes Operation Choke Point: Voted for legislation that would prohibit the Obama Administration from executing an abusive practice, known as Operation Choke Point, in which the Department of Justice intimidates banks into refusing or severing financial services to legally-operated ammunition and firearms dealers. 
• Opposes Ammo Ban: Spearheaded a letter signed by over two hundred congressmen condemning the Obama Administration’s flagrant attempt to ban the most popular and widely used ammunition in America.  
• Supports America’s Hunting Heritage: Voted for the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreation Enhancement Act, a bill that would benefit sportsmen throughout Virginia and the country.
• Supports Gun Manufacturers and Dealers: Cosponsored and voted for the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, a law that prevents the American gun industry from being sued into bankruptcy through frivolous lawsuits.
• Opposes the U.N. Gun Ban Treaty: Opposes any international treaty by the United Nations or any other global organization that would impose restrictions on American gun owners. He signed a letter opposing the Obama Administration’s signing of the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), as well as cosponsored a concurrent resolution opposing the ATT.
• Opposes Gun Confiscation: Voted to prohibit gun confiscation during states of emergency, as happened after Hurricane Katrina.
• Opposes Semi-auto Ban: Voted against a ban on commonly owned semi-automatic firearms used for hunting, recreational shooting and self-defense.
• Opposes Government Blacklists: Opposes denying persons on secret government lists their Second Amendment right to purchase or own a firearm without due process. 
• Opposes Magazine Ban: Voted against a ban on magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. 
• Holder Contempt: Voted to hold former Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress on both criminal and civil charges for the flawed and tragic Fast and Furious scandal.

In contrast, his opponent, Kai Degner, has received an “F” rating from NRA-PVF. He opposes your Second Amendment rights and supports the Obama/Bloomberg/Clinton gun control agenda.
