NRA-ILA "Volunteer Kick-Off" Events Planned

In preparation for the 2010 elections, NRA-ILA has hired Campaign Field Representatives who are working in key states to recruit and mobilize pro-gun volunteers. As part of this grassroots plan, “Volunteer Kick-Off” meetings, featuring CFRs and ILA Grassroots Headquarters staff, have been scheduled.

Statement From NRA-PVF Chairman
Chris W. Cox On The 2010 Nevada U.S. Senate Race

In the coming days and weeks, the NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) will be announcing endorsements and candidate ratings in hundreds of federal races, as well as thousands of state legislative races. Unless these announcements are required by the timing of primary or special elections, the NRA-PVF generally does not issue endorsements while important legislative business is pending. The NRA-PVF also operates under a long-standing policy that gives preference to incumbent candidates who have voted with the NRA on key issues, which is explained in more detail here. After careful consideration, the NRA-PVF announced today that it will not be endorsing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for re-election in the 2010 U.S. Senate race in Nevada. Read more

NRA-ILA Campaign Field Representatives (CFRs)

To ensure that NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are registered to vote, are active in the campaigns of pro-gun candidates, and prepared to vote in droves before or on Election Day, NRA-ILA’s Grassroots Division has hired Campaign Field Representatives (CFRs) that have been dispatched to key states across the country.

Our CFRs will be living in their respectively assigned districts, working daily with NRA members and supporters of the Second Amendment to make sure that our community is fully engaged in this year’s critically-important elections.  From registering pro-gun voters, to walking neighborhoods, to making phone calls, to distributing literature, stickers, and signs, to writing letters to the editor in support of our candidates, to visiting gun shows, shops, clubs, and ranges, to finally, turning out the pro-gun vote on Election Day, our CFRs will be working day and night in support of our mutual cause!

Click here for a list of states and districts in which we have CFRs. If a CFR is working near you, please contact him TODAY to find out how you can get involved. If preserving our Second Amendment rights for ourselves and future generations aren’t worth a few hours or a couple of days of your time, what is?

NRA-PVF Endorsement Policy
We are rapidly approaching the time when NRA’s Political Action Committee the NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) will begin issuing endorsements in elections across the country. As in every election year, some of these endorsements sometimes prompt questions concerning the criteria NRA-PVF uses in making these decisions. Following is a brief explanation of that policy.
