NRA-PVF Endorses Will Barclay for New York State Senate

Thursday, January 31, 2008

FAIRFAX, VA-The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing State Assemblyman William A. Barclay in the special election for New York State Senate in District 48. Voters will go to the polls on February 26 to determine who replaces State Senator Jim Wright.

"Will Barclay is the right choice for hunters, sportsmen and gun owners in this pivotal special election," Chris W. Cox stated. "He is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and has a strong pro-gun voting record as a State Assemblyman. Because of this he has earned an 'A' rating from NRA-PVF."

Cox continued, "This election is of top importance to hunters and sportsmen in New York, as this seat is essential to maintaining a solid pro-gun majority in the Senate. This is necessary to continue positive pro-gun and pro-hunting movements. Gun-owners and NRA members must continue to vote for candidates who support our Second Amendment at all levels of local, state and federal government."

Chris W. Cox serves as Executive Director and Chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate ratings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements, input from NRA members and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
