Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of Joe Coors for U.S. House of Representatives in Colorado’s 7th District in the November 6 general election.

"Joe Coors is committed to protecting our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF.  "Because of his strong support of our rights, Joe Coors has received an "AQ" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.  We urge all NRA members and gun owners in Colorado’s Seventh District to vote Joe Coors for U.S. House of Representatives in the November 6 election."

Joe Coors is a strong supporter of national concealed carry, the Firearms Interstate Commerce Reform Act, and legislation to help open access to public lands to sportsmen.  In contrast, his opponent Congressman Ed Perlmutter, voted against the Sportsmen’s Heritage Act of 2012 and the National Right to Carry Reciprocity Act.  In addition, Congressman Perlmutter supports the reauthorization of the Clinton Gun Ban and refused to sign both the Heller and McDonald amicus briefs.

Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist.  He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF.  The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings.  These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
