Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) announces its endorsement of Josh Evans for the Tennessee House of Representatives in District 66 in the August 2nd primary election.
"Josh Evans is a leader in defending the Second Amendment in the Tennessee House of Representatives," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "His record has earned him an "A+" rating from the NRA-PVF and we are proud to endorse him for re-election."
Rep. Evans cosponsored the Safe Commute Act, which would allow Tennessee handgun carry permit holders to keep their legally-owned firearms stored out of sight in their locked vehicles while parked in publicly accessible parking lots. He has also supported the rights of handgun carry permit holders to carry in restaurants, while hunting, and in state and local parks. Additionally, Evans also worked to improve Tennessee’s Castle Doctrine law.
“The need for principled leaders to defend our Second Amendment rights has never been greater. Voters in District 66 who value their rights should vote Josh Evans for Tennessee House of Representatives in the August 2nd primary election,” concluded Cox.
