Misleading campaign mailings are being circulated in Texas House District 58 about the record of your State Representative DeWayne Burns on issues affecting your rights.  Any claim that he is not a strong supporter of the Second Amendment in the Texas Legislature is laughable and patently false!  As a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety, DeWayne Burns played a key role this past session in securing important expansions of your self-defense rights and promoting the Lone Star State's sporting heritage.

During the 2015 session, Rep. DeWayne Burns co-authored and voted for the landmark NRA-backed open carry and campus carry laws.  He also provided key support for passage of Texas’ Right to Hunt and Fish constitutional amendment that was adopted by more than 80 percent of voters on last November’s ballot.  DeWayne Burns' record speaks for itself!

Because of his strong record of support for issues of importance to gun owners and sportsmen, he has received an “A” rating and endorsement from the NRA Political Victory Fund this election cycle.

Don't be fooled by misguided, outsider fundraising groups who seek to divide supporters of the Second Amendment with a misinformation campaign and a questionable agenda.  On Tuesday, March 1, support the NRA-PVF endorsed candidate with a proven record of fighting for your rights in the Texas House.  Vote for DeWayne Burns in the Republican Primary for Texas House District 58.  Please encourage your family, friends and fellow gun owners to do the same.  Early voting runs through Friday, February 26.
