The NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Andy Harris for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 1^st Congressional District of Maryland. Andy is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment and has earned your vote by protecting your fundamental right to self-defense from those who attempt to eradicate it.

For the following reasons, Andy Harris has received our endorsement and “A” rating:

• Supports Right-to-Carry – Voted for the strongest Concealed Carry Reciprocity legislation ever to come before the U.S. Congress, which would ensure that the nearly 20 million law-abiding Americans who can carry a concealed firearm in their home state are able to do so in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.
• Supports America’s Hunting Heritage – Voted to expand access for hunting and shooting, benefitting sportsmen throughout Maryland and the country.
• Opposes Criminalizing Private Transfers – Voted against the so-called “universal” background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of firearms, which is only enforceable through federal firearms registration.
• Supports Veterans’ Second Amendment Rights – Voted for legislation that would protect veterans’ Second Amendment rights.
• Opposes Government Bans and Confiscation – Strongly opposes the Pelosi/Biden/Bloomberg plan to ban lawfully-owned semi-automatic firearms, magazines and ammunition commonly used for self-defense.
• Opposes Backdoor Gun Ban – Voted to repeal an Obama-era scheme that forced Social Security recipients to choose between their benefits and their Second Amendment right to possess a firearm.
• Supports Lawful Transport of Firearms and Ammunition – Voted for legislation that would uphold protections for the interstate transportation of firearms and ammunition.

In contrast, Andy’s opponent, Mia Mason, has received the worst possible rating, an “F”, from NRA-PVF for strongly supporting fanatical gun control. A vote for Mason is a vote to annihilate the Second Amendment and eradicate your right to self-defense!
