NRA-PVF Endorses Jon Husted for Ohio Secretary of State

Monday, March 22, 2010

Fairfax, VA. - Today, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of Jon Husted for Ohio Secretary of State in the Republican primary election on May 4th.

Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF stated, "After nearly a decade of public service as a state legislator in both chambers, Jon Husted has proven himself as a staunch defender of Second Amendment freedoms, and NRA-PVF is proud to endorse him for Secretary of State in the upcoming primary election."

Husted's demonstrated support for the Second Amendment during his tenure as a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives and as a state Senator representing the 6th Ohio Senate District has earned him an "A+" rating and endorsement from NRA-PVF.

When he was Speaker of the House of Representatives, Jon Husted was instrumental in passing Ohio's "statewide preemption" legislation, assuring equal rights for all law-abiding firearm owners across the state. As a state Senator, he has continued to be a vocal advocate for the rights of Ohio gun owners.

"On May 4th, I urge all Ohio NRA members and gun owners in the Republican primary to vote Jon Husted for Secretary of State," Cox concluded.
