NRA-PVF Endorses State Representative Dick Dodge for Re-Election in Indiana’s 51st House District

Tuesday, September 28, 2010

Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing State Representative Dick Dodge (R-51) for re-election this November.

"Dick Dodge proudly supports gun owners and hunters in Indiana," said Chris Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF.  "Representative Dodge's continued defense of the Second Amendment has again earned him an 'A' rating and the NRA-PVF's endorsement."

Throughout his tenure in the Indiana House of Representatives, Dick Dodge has consistently supported the right to keep and bear arms, including:  establishing Indiana's Lifetime Concealed Firearm Permit - the first of its kind in the United States;  signing a pro-gun "friend of the court" brief in McDonald v. Chicago, supporting the position that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all Americans; protecting the privacy of concealed firearm permit holders; preventing local municipalities from confiscating firearms during a state of emergency; and prohibiting employers from firing employees who lock their firearms in their personal vehicles while at work.

Representative Dodge's commitment to preserving our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage has earned him an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.

"Hoosiers value their Second Amendment freedoms and Dick Dodge is the clear choice to represent them," Cox concluded. "We ask all Indiana gun-owners and hunters in the 51st House District to re-elect Representative Dick Dodge on November 2."
