NRA-PVF Endorses State Representative Bruce Borders for Re-Election in Indiana’s 45th House District

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing State Representative Bruce Borders (R-45) for re-election this November.

"Bruce Borders proudly supports gun owners and hunters in Indiana," said Chris Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF.  "His commitment to preserving the Second Amendment has again earned him an 'A' rating and the NRA-PVF's endorsement."

Throughout his tenure in the State House of Representatives, Bruce Borders has consistently supported the right to keep and bear arms, including: establishing a hunter apprentice license and Indiana's Lifetime Concealed Firearm Permit - the first of its kind in the United States; joining two pro-gun "friend of the court" briefs in McDonald v. Chicago, supporting the position that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all Americans;  supporting Indiana's new Gun Permit Privacy Act; and voting for the Emergency Powers and Parking Lot laws, which protect citizens against firearm bans and confiscations during states of emergency and wrongful termination by their employer for locking a firearm in their personal vehicle while at work.

Representative Borders' dedication to preserving our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage has earned him an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.

"Bruce will continue to support the Second Amendment rights of Indiana gun owners" concluded Cox.  "We urge all Indiana gun owners and sportsmen in the 45th House District to re-elect Representative Bruce Borders on November 2."
