NRA-PVF Endorses Alecia Webb-Edgington for U.S. House of Representatives

Tuesday, May 8, 2012

Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of Alecia Webb-Edgington for U.S. House of Representatives in District 4 in the May 22 Kentucky Republican primary election.

"The National Rifle Association is supporting Alecia Webb-Edgington because she is a staunch supporter of our right to keep and bear arms" said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF.  "Because of her steadfast pro-gun voting record as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, Alecia Webb-Edgington has earned an “A” rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.”

During her tenure in the Kentucky State House, Alecia Webb-Edgington cosponsored and voted for House Bill 500, which mandates consistent statewide regulations regarding firearms and ammunition and prevents a rights-infringing patchwork of local ordinances.  She also cosponsored House Bill 484, which expands current concealed carry exemptions by allowing landowners and businessmen with a sole proprietorship to carry a concealed handgun without the necessity of a concealed carry permit.

“We urge all NRA members and gun owners in Kentucky’s Fourth District to vote Alecia Webb-Edgington for U.S. House of Representatives in the May 22 Republican primary," concluded Cox.
