NRA Launches 4th Trump Ad in Presidential Election Cycle

Most Expensive Ad Buy to Date

Fairfax, Va.— The National Rifle Association launched a new TV ad buy this week in the 2016 presidential race. The $5 million buy is the NRA’s fourth and largest ad buy of the presidential election cycle, and underscores what’s at stake for the Second Amendment if Hillary Clinton is elected president. The spot, “Nightstand,” airs on national cable as well as regional broadcast in the key battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.

“The stakes in this election could not be higher.  The American people cannot afford to elect a president who doesn’t support their Second Amendment freedoms,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman, NRA-PVF. “Hillary Clinton is an elitist, out-of-touch hypocrite who believes in one set of rules for her, and a different set of rules for the rest of us. This ad underscores that fact.  Law-abiding Americans should not have a president who would leave them defenseless.”

The ad features a woman at home alone when she hears an intruder. An announcer explains that the average police response time is 11 minutes, and that a Hillary Clinton presidency could leave this woman with only her phone for protection.

Hillary Clinton said the Supreme Court “is wrong on the Second Amendment.” She was referencing the landmark decision District of Columbia v. Heller, in which the court ruled that law-abiding Americans have a right to keep a firearm in their home for self-defense.  If Hillary Clinton is elected president, she will nominate Supreme Court justices who would rule against the basic right to keep a gun in the home.

Clinton also said that a nationwide gun ban and confiscation scheme similar to that in Australia is “worth looking at.”

“If ever there were a time to do everything possible to protect the Second Amendment, this is it.  If elected, Hillary Clinton would work to eliminate our constitutional freedoms, ” Cox concluded.

She keeps a firearm in this safe for protection.

But Hillary Clinton could take away her right to self-defense.

And with Supreme Court justices, Hillary can.

“In the next few years, the Supreme Court may face as many as four vacancies as some of the justices age or enter retirement. That means the outcome of November's elections could be critical in determining the court's future composition.”

Don’t let Hillary leave you protected by nothing but a phone.
