NRA Endorses Mia Love for U.S. House in Utah’s 4th Congressional District

FAIRFAX, Va.— On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Mia Love for U.S. House in Utah’s 4th Congressional District.

Based on her support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Love has earned an “A” rating from the NRA-PVF in the November 8, 2016 election. An “A” rating is reserved for a solidly pro-gun legislator who has supported the NRA’s position on votes of importance to gun owners.

“Mia Love’s dedication to protecting our Second Amendment rights is demonstrated by her opposition to President Obama’s attempts to ban lawfully-owned firearms, magazines, and ammunition,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “She has also stood strong against Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s gun control agenda.”

Love voted for legislation that would prohibit the Obama Administration from intimidating banks into refusing financial services to lawful ammunition and firearms dealers. She also cosponsored H.R. 986, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2015, which would ensure that law-abiding Americans with valid concealed carry permits would be able to carry their concealed firearms in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry. Love also voted for the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act, a bill that would help Utah sportsmen by protecting traditional hunting ammunition, opening additional land access for hunting and fishing, and allow firearms to be legally carried on land managed by the Army Corps of Engineers.

"We can count on Mia Love to stand up for our constitutional freedoms in the U.S. House,” added Cox. “On behalf of the NRA’s five million members, I want to thank Mia for her steadfast support of the Second Amendment and urge all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in Utah’s 4th Congressional District to vote Mia Love for U.S. Congress on November 8.”

Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group.
