NRA-PVF Issues “A+” Rating and Endorses Senator Ty Masterson for Kansas Governor
FAIRFAX, VA — The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today announced its endorsement and highest “A+” rating for Kansas State Senator Ty Masterson in the 2026 Kansas gubernatorial primary election.
“Ty Masterson is a proven champion for the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding Kansas gun owners," said John Commerford, NRA-PVF Chairman. "As Senate President, he has consistently fought to protect our constitutional freedoms against every attempt to erode them and successfully passed legislation to advance the rights of law-abiding gun owners. The NRA proudly endorses Ty Masterson for re-election, and we urge every Kansas voter who values their right to keep and bear arms to stand with him.”
Under Senator Masterson’s leadership as President of the Kansas Senate, the state has achieved important legislative victories that benefit NRA members and Second Amendment supporters across Kansas. These successes have reinforced Kansans’ rights today and safeguarded the state’s sporting heritage and constitutional freedoms for future generations. These include but are not limited to lowering the concealed-carry age to 18, removing suppressors and short barreled firearms from the state's-controlled weapons list, and passing Constitutional Carry in Kansas.
Senator Masterson’s “A+” rating and endorsement reflect his consistent defense of the Second Amendment throughout his time in the Kansas Legislature.
