Joni Ernst wants you to keep your gun rights!

In contrast to anti-gun Bruce Braley, Joni Ernst is committed to protecting the Second Amendment and will continue to oppose all attempts to ban lawfully-owned firearms and magazines. She will stand strong against President Obama and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s gun control agenda.

Sponsored legislation expanding state preemption to ensure that Second Amendment rights are not violated by municipalities.

Sponsored legislation expanding the right of self defense by providing that a person may use reasonable force, including deadly force, if it is reasonable to believe it is necessary to avoid injury or risk to one’s life or safety or the life or safety of another.
