Clearing Up Anti-Gun ABQ Mayoral Candidate Tim Keller's NRA-PVF Rating

Dan Lewis is the ONLY Pro-Second Amendment Candidate in Critical Runoff Election

* * Early Voting Begins on Wednesday, October 25 * *

During a recent Albuquerque mayoral runoff forum, gun control proponent Tim Keller attempted to confuse voters by pointing to a candidate rating that NRA's Political Victory Fund issued to him when he was running for re-election to the New Mexico Senate five years ago.  Keller received a B+ rating from NRA-PVF in 2012.  At the time, he had supported a number of bills aimed at improving the state's concealed carry law.  Perhaps that's because he was being challenged for re-election in the Democratic primary by former State Senator Shannon Robinson -- an A+ rated lawmaker who authored and passed the original concealed handgun license statute.

If you visit the NRA-PVF website http://www.nrapvf.org to find Keller's 2012 rating, you'll notice the following disclaimer: "Candidate ratings for previous election cycles were compiled in the year of the election and may no longer accurately represent a candidate’s or elected official’s position or rating."  You may recall from previous NRA-ILA alerts that Keller has now embraced the agenda of New York billionaire Michael Bloomberg's national gun control organizations, which includes an unpopular, ineffective and unenforceable proposal to ban temporary private firearms transfers -- even between family, friends, co-workers and neighbors.  Keller has also hinted at local regulation and auditing of federal firearm licensed dealers.  Make no mistake, Tim Keller has earned his current "F" rating by NRA-PVF and we have endorsed the ONLY pro-Second Amendment candidate in the contest: Dan Lewis.  Dan Lewis established a proven record of support for your rights while serving on the Albuquerque City Council and has promised to get tough on the violent criminals who are preying on law-abiding citizens in Duke City.

Early voting in the city runoff elections begins on Wednesday, October 25, and runs through Friday, November 10.  Information on poll locations can be found hereBe sure to vote "A" rated and NRA-PVF endorsed Dan Lewis for Mayor of Albuquerque!  Make sure you help spread the word to family, friends and fellow gun owners in Albuquerque about where the candidates really stand on Second Amendment issues!
