NRA-PVF Endorses Sandy Adams for U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 24th Congressional District

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

Fairfax, Va.-- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Sandy Adams for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida's 24th Congressional District this November.

"We can count on Sandy Adams to defend the Second Amendment freedoms of Florida's law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF.  "Sandy Adams is the clear choice for gun owners in this race."

As a state representative, Sandy Adams voted for legislation that protects the Concealed Weapons Licensing Trust Fund from being raided by the state legislature, as well as a bill that that prohibits businesses from searching or seizing legal, secured firearms from vehicles in their parking lots.  She cosponsored and voted for Castle Doctrine legislation making Florida the first state to expand self-defense rights in the home.  Adams also signed the pro-gun state legislators "friend of the court" brief in the McDonald case supporting the position that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all Americans.

Sandy Adams' commitment to preserving the Second Amendment has earned him an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.

"Sandy Adams will be a strong voice in fighting ongoing efforts by anti-gun politicians to dismantle the Second Amendment," Cox concluded. "We ask all gun-owners and hunters in Florida's 24th District to vote Sandy Adams for Congress on November 2."

Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
