NRA-PVF Endorses Bob Beers for Las Vegas City Council Ward 2

Thursday, March 8, 2012

Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of Bob Beers for City Council Ward 2 in the March 20 special election.

"Gun owners in Las Vegas need someone who will fight to defend their right to keep and bear arms," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "As a State Senator, Bob Beers demonstrated his support of the Second Amendment. That is why he has earned an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF."

As a state Senator, Bob Beers supported concealed carry reciprocity between Nevada and other states; emergency powers legislation; and allowing out-of-state residents to obtain a concealed weapons permit in Nevada.

"We urge all NRA members and gun owners in Las Vegas to vote Bob Beers for City Council Ward 2 in the March 20 special election."

Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
