NRA Endorses Bill Lee for Governor of Tennessee

Fairfax, Va.— On behalf of our six million members across the country, the National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today endorsed Bill Lee for governor of Tennessee.

“Bill Lee is a staunch supporter of our Second Amendment freedoms and we can trust him to protect our fundamental right to self-defense,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman, NRA-PVF.

Lee has pledged to improve state law to benefit Tennessee’s law-abiding gun owners. Unlike his opponent, Lee strongly opposes bans on commonly owned firearms and the criminalization of private firearm transfers between lifelong friends and family members.

“Bill Lee is the only candidate in this race who will fight to protect our constitutional rights. The NRA encourages all Tennesseans to vote Bill Lee for governor in November,” Cox concluded.

Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. More than five million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.
