Fairfax, Va. – On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Jeff Sessions for U.S. Senate in Alabama.
Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Sessions has earned an “A” rating from the NRA-PVF in the November 4, 2014 election. An “A” rating is reserved for a solidly pro-gun legislator who has supported the NRA’s position on votes of importance to gun owners.
“Sen. Sessions has earned the trust of Alabama gun owners by consistently voting to protect and expand their rights to self-defense and hunting,” noted Chris W. Cox. “Sen. Sessions has always been a straight shooter who doesn’t compromise when it comes to our Second Amendment freedoms.”
Sessions has stood up to the Obama-Bloomberg gun control agenda, including their so-called “universal” background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of a firearm between life-long friends and many family members. Additionally, he voted against Obama’s anti-gun U.S. Supreme Court nominees Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. He also opposes any treaty by the United Nations or any other global organization that would impose restrictions on American gun owners.
“We can count on Jeff Sessions to stand up for our constitutional freedoms in the U.S. Senate,” added Cox. “On behalf of the NRA’s five million members, I want to thank Jeff for his steadfast support of the Second Amendment and encourage all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in Alabama to vote Jeff Sessions for U.S. Senate on November 4.”
